I’ve had this idea for a.. what to call it.. countermeasure against mild stress and anxiety. Here’s the deal:
Next time you feel anxiety, worry or stress creeping closer, recall and visualize the famous scene from Lord of the Rings in which Gandalf fights the balrog. The balrog stands for either what makes you anxious/stressed out or the stress/anxiety itself. Gandalf will then represent, you guessed it, YOU. Now, saith these words will all your might:
YOU SHALL NOT PASS!
and watch the anxiety-monster fall back into the shadow from whence it came.
It would be so awesome if you tried this “technique” and tell me how it went! 🙂
